2025 Alumni Banquet Highlights:
101 Years!
BANQUET ATTENDANCE:
- 200 people attended the 2025 Alumni Banquet.
- 165 individuals were RSHS graduates
Interesting Note:
- 16 couples at the banquet were BOTH RSHS alumni and 6 of those individuals were from the same class!
ANNUAL DUES:
- 153 people paid their annual $5 DUES ONLY.
- Members of the Class of 1969 had the most participants pay their dues this year with 13 people.
- The Class of 1963 had 11 people pay their annual dues.
NEW BUSINESS:
The Rising Sun Graduate Newsletter:
On March 27th, members of the committee and wonderful volunteers got together to fold newsletters and stuff 1,350 envelopes.
Thank You to everyone for showing up to complete the mailing this year and a special "THANK YOU" to Tony Jones (Class of 1974) for getting the newsletters printed for us this year.
Tony and his wife, Sandy, could not join us for the banquet this year, but we appreciate their support.
We only received 58 envelopes back from the U.S. Postal Service with bad addresses – significantly less than usual.
SPECIAL THANKS to Dawn Galloway and the staff at Your Personal Chef for helping to coordinate table setups required to seat everyone. Kim (Johnson) had to redo the setup at least 4 times to accommodate the constantly changing number of attendees.
NOTE: When you send in your reservation – Kim seats you with the first name listed on the reservation form – if you wish to sit with another class or individual, please note this information on the form next year to minimize confusion.
SILENT AUCTION & RAFFLE INFORMATION
This year, we had more than 30 silent auction items and monetary contributions donated by local businesses, individuals and organizations.
